
Grullon, Bullpen beat Bisons

(Allentown, Pa) - Deivy Grullon continued his remarkable run in 2019 against the Buffalo Bisons (19-25) on Saturday night. He hit two doubles and homered to lead the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (25-20) to an 8-5 win.
Grullon started the charge with a two-run double off Turner Larkins (0-1) in the top of the first inning to give the Pigs a 2-0 lead. Ali Castillo followed with an RBI single for the third run of the inning. The Bisons answered with two runs off Ranger Suarez in the top of the third inning to cut Lehigh Valley's lead to 3-2. Socrates Brito hit a two-run home run off Suarez.
Grullon homered off Larkins in bottom of the third inning to extend the Pigs lead to 4-2. The Bisons fired back with three runs off Suarez in the top of the fourth inning. Suarez left the game with two outs in the inning. Kyle Dohy pitched the next 1 1/3 innings without allowing a run.
Lane Adams powered his tenth home run of the season off Larkins in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 5-5. Matt McBride hit a two-run homerun off Larkins in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Lehigh Valley a 7-5 lead.
Grullon got his fourth RBI, a double off Dusty Isaacs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Pigs an 8-5 lead.
Austin Davis (2-0) pitched two scoreless innings for his second win of the season. Tom Windle and Yacksel Rios each tossed a scoreless inning. Rios earned his fifth save of the season.
The Pigs and Bisons meet on Sunday evening at 6:35 at Coca-Cola Park.
