Grrrowl on the road for three

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers begin a three-game road trip to division rivals, beginning with a game tonight in Charlotte against the Checkers (7:00pm). The Grrrowl are 1-1-1 against the division leaders this season.

The trip will continue to Florence on Saturday for a battle against the Pee Dee Pride, who is tied with Charlotte for the divisions' top spot. After a couple of days rest, Greenville travels to Columbia to face the Inferno, who has won all four games head-to-head this season. Columbia is tied for third place with the Grrrowl with 37 points. Greenville is 7-3 in their last ten games, making them the hottest team in the division over that period.

Carl Mallette leads the ECHL in scoring with 44 points (12G, 23A), and is second in goals scored through 33 games. Martin St. Pierre is fourth in the league with 26 assists through 31 games this season.

TRANSACTION:

The Grrrowl have added KEVIN KREUTZER as emergency back-up goalie for tonight's' game in Charlotte. Kreutzer is a 6-2, 210lbs native of Buffalo, NY, currently resides in Charlotte.

The Grrrowl begin a three-game road trip on Friday night (1/14) in Charlotte, and will continue with a game at Pee Dee on Saturday (1/15), and Columbia on January 18th.
