
Wranglers Defeated By Gulls 4-3

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers (16-14-4, 36 points) fell to the San Diego Gulls (17-11-4, 38 points) 4-3 in front of 3,507 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' Forwards Adam Huxley, Darren Lynch, and Jason Spence each scored in the loss. Defenseman Andrew Canzanello and forward Colin Shields each had a goal and an assist for San Diego in the victory. The Wranglers return to the Orleans Arena Friday, January 14th, 2005 to face the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm.
In the first period, San Diego all-star defenseman Andrew Canzanello started the Gulls scoring with his third goal of the season. Less than a minute later Darren Clark put San Diego ahead 2-0 with his seventh goal of the season. San Diego forward Chris Lynch scored the third San Diego goal in 1:07 to put the Gulls up 3-0 after one period of play.
In the second period, Adam Huxley scored the first Wranglers' goal of the game at 14:51. Huxley's third of the season cut the San Diego lead to 3-1. Darren Lynch brought the Wranglers to within one-goal, scoring just 33 seconds after Huxley's goal to make it 3-2 Gulls.
In the third, Gulls' forward Colin Shields scored his third goal of the season to give the Gulls a 4-2 lead with 7:36 remaining in the game. Las Vegas forward Jason Spence scored at 16:42 to cut the score to 4-3.
Friday, January 14th, 2005 Victoria will visit the Wranglers. "Reggy" the mascot will join "The Duke" on Friday, January 14th at 7:05 pm.
