
Pride Win Third Straight

FLORENCE, SC -- The Pee Dee Pride completed a two-game sweep of the Texas Wildcatters with a 6-3 win on Friday night at the Florence Civic Center. With 59 shots on goal in the contest, Pee Dee tied the team record.
Trailing 2-1 midway through the second period, the Pride offense came to life, scoring three goals in a span of 1:59. At 11:15, Kyle Kidney deflected a Tyler Kindle shot on a power play for his ninth of the season.
Just 14 seconds later, Gregg Johnson gave the Pride the lead with his seventh goal of the season. That score was followed by an Allan Sirois power-play goal at 13:14 to make it 4-2. Kidney made it 5-2 through two periods with his second of the night.
Both teams tallied in the third period to set the final.
Saturday, the Pride host the Greenville Grrrowl at 7:30 p.m. on Health Awareness Night. Local health-related organizations will be on the concourse throughout the night to hand out information and to offer health screenings. Fans will have the opportunity to win a number of great prizes provided by the vendors. Following the game, the Pride will present a post-game concert featuring the classic rock-and-roll of The Woody's.
