Grrrowl ask fans to support donation effort

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Grrrowl announced Tuesday that donations are being accepted in the BI-LO Center's VIP Parking Lot for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Greenville Sports & Arena and the BI-LO Center have arranged to bring a 53-foot truck to the VIP lot (located off Church Street), where donations will be accepted from noon till 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Supplies needed include, but are not limited to:

Antibacterial gel, baby wipes, baby food, diapers, batteries of all kinds, battery-powered radio, bottled water, candles, canned beverages, canned fruits & juices, canned meats and soups, canned vegetables, can opener (manual). cookies & crackers, charcoal & lighter fluid, coolers, duct tape, first aid kit, shovel, flashlights, insect repellant, masking tape, matches, pet foods, powdered milk, toiletries, toilet paper and water purification tablets. No used clothing or supplies.
