WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed defenseman Brent Henley, it was announced today by CEO Jeff Barrett. In accordance with club policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Henley, 25, split last season between the Edmonton Roadrunners (AHL) and the Greenville Grrrowl (ECHL), combining for seven points (2-5) and 106 penalty minutes in 36 games. He posted four points (1-3) and 94 penalty minutes in 27 games with Edmonton, and three points (1-2) and 12 penalty minutes in nine games with Greenville.

The 6-7, 250 pound native of Coquitlam, British Columbia, has appeared in 43 career AHL games with Edmonton, Toronto, Rochester and Lowell, combining for five points (1-4) and 145 penalty minutes. Henley has played in 110 ECHL games with Greenville, South Carolina and Jackson, recording 23 points (4-19) and 595 penalty minutes.
