Texas Wildcatters News Release

BEAUMONT, TX (September 6, 2005) - Texas Wildcatters Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Tony MacAulay announced today the team has traded the ECHL rights of Andrew Ianiero to the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for rugged defenseman Luis Tremblay.

The 6-foot-1, 192-pound defenseman from Val-d'Or, Quebec is entering his second professional season after a successful rookie campaign with the Condors. Tremblay was Bakersfield's second-leading scorer for defensemen with two goals and 22 assists in 68 games and finished third on the team with 122 penalty minutes. He also appeared in five playoff games, picking up two penalty minutes.

Tremblay, 22, played his junior hockey with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL, where he picked up 27 goals, 64 assists and 457 penalty minutes in four seasons.

"We are pleased to acquire such a young talent like Luis," stated MacAulay. "He shows great potential to possibly challenge for an AHL position."

The new-look Wildcatters open their third season on October 21 at Florida, before returning to Ford Arena for the home opener on October 29 against the Mississippi Sea Wolves.
