Grizzlies Take 4-1 Win In Idaho

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies (21-18-6-9) defeated the Idaho Steelheads 4-1 Wednesday night at Qwest Arena.

Utah led from the 10:07 mark of the first period and never looked back with Mark Pavli redirecting home a shot from Tyler Wooddisse for his sixth goal of the year.

In the second period Tim Maxwell fed Rob Hennigar from behind the net to make it 2-0. Idaho added a late power-play goal to make it 2-1 going to the second intermission.

The Grizzlies added two big insurance goals in the final five minutes with Andy Sertich scoring from the neutral zone on a draw won by Evan Kotsopoulos. Mark Pavli finished things off finding Rob Hennigar for his second goal of the night into an empty-net to make the score 4-1 with 31 seconds left.

Mike Mole stopped 30 of 31 shots in the win.

The Grizzlies now head for Alaska for games Friday and Sunday. Face-off Friday from Anchorage is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
