Wheeling Nailers And Waha Announce 2009 Summer Roller Hockey League

Wheeling Nailers News Release


WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, in conjunction with the Wheeling Amateur Hockey Association have announced their 2009 Summer Roller Hockey League.

The season will begin play in April and run through July. Deadline for registration is April 1st for under 18 and April 10th for over 18. Registration forms can be picked up at the Wheeling Nailers Office or at select stores around the Ohio Valley. You can also download the form from wheelingnailers.com.

Leagues have been broken up into the following age groups:

Youth Leagues

4-5 years old

6-8 years old

9-11 years old

12-14 years old

15-17 years old

Adult League

18 and Over

The Nailers' next home stand is Feb. 27-28 when they host Dayton and Trenton, respectively. The Feb. 27 game is Friday Family Four Pack Night, where families receive four tickets, four sodas, four hotdogs and one large popcorn for just $44. In addition, a collector poster will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. A Coal Miner Spike Bobble Head will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance at the Feb. 28 game.
