Grizzlies Sign Another Defenseman

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that they have signed defenseman Randy Perry to a contract.

Perry, 27, joins the Grizzlies after spending the first two months of the season with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL. In 20 games with Bakersfield, the Edmonton native scored a goal and had six assists with 25 penalty minutes.

The 6-1, 200-pound blueliner was in training camp with the Grizzlies prior to the season and has played 10 career AHL games (with Houston and Philadelphia) recording two assists. Perry also was a member of the Canadian National Team in 1998 scoring 20 points (10-10 -20) in 62 games.

The Grizzlies begin a four-game road trip on Wednesday in Bridgeport. Face-off is scheduled for 5:05 PM (mst).
