CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons today announced that the San Jose Sharks reassigned goaltender Seamus Kotyk to Cleveland. Wayne Thomas, General Manager of the Barons, made the announcement.

The Sharks recalled Kotyk on November 22nd when starting goaltender Evgeni Nabokov was injured. Kotyk dressed in seven contests but did not appear in a game, as he was the back-up to former Barons goaltender Vesa Toskala.

With the Barons this season, Kotyk has posted a 2-2-3 record with a 2.48 goals against average and a .926 save percentage. Kotyk is in his third season with the San Jose organization.

Kotyk was awarded the "Wayne Gretzky 99 Trophy" as the OHL's Playoff Most Valuable Player.
