Mighty Ducks Announce Roster Moves

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim recalled left wing Michael Holmqvist from the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League and sent center Tony Martensson to Cincinnati on Monday.

Holmqvist, a first-round pick by Anaheim in 1997, had a team-leading seven goals and seven assists in 22 games with Cincinnati this season. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder has appeared in two games with Anaheim this season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes.

Martensson, a seventh-round pick by Anaheim in 2001, had one goal in four games with Anaheim this season. He appeared in his first career NHL game December 2 in Columbus and scored his first NHL goal the following night in Detroit. The 6-foot, 192-pounder leads Cincinnati in scoring this season with 17 points on four goals and 13 assists in 22 games.
