
P-Bruins Tied for Atlantic Division Lead

The Providence Bruins begin the week tied for the Atlantic Division lead with their 13-8-5-0 record (31 points). They are unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1-0), and following Sunday's 3-0 win over the Lowell Lock Monsters, moved into a tie with the Hartford Wolf Pack for the division lead. The Black and Gold has continued to get strong goaltending and defensive efforts, mixed with timely goal scoring during this stretch. The Providence power play unit has also produced at a high level, ranking third in the AHL with a 17.7% success rate (22/124). The Bruins and Philadelphia Phantoms have each scored 22 goals on the man advantage, the most in the league. Providence has had its success despite already losing 98 man-games to injury this season. They lost 118 man-games to injury all of last year.
The Bruins will play three games this weekend, beginning on Friday, December 12 at 7:05 p.m., when they battle Hartford for sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Division. They play at Lowell the next night at 7:00 p.m., before wrapping up the home-and-home series at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence on Sunday, December 14 at 4:05 p.m.
The Providence Bruins are proud to announce the debut of "Providence Bruins Weekly Presented by National City Mortgage" on Tuesday, December 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The show will be aired live on WSKO AM-790, The Score. The show will be hosted by Adam Alper and will feature regular appearances by P-Bruins head coach Scott Gordon and Providence Journal beat writer Joe McDonald. The debut show will also feature live interviews with Bruin goaltenders Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen, as well as Dr. Diana Hackney of the Rhode Island Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Bruins begin the eighth season of "Tip-A-Bruin" on Wednesday, December 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dave & Buster's in the Providence Place Mall. Bruin players will be on hand to help out the waitstaff, sell raffle tickets for autographed Bruin items and sell discounted tickets for upcoming Providence Bruins home games. All proceeds will go to the Rhode Island Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Bruins are currently offering a Holiday FlexTix Special. The Special gives fans the opportunity to receive a free Providence Bruins hat, with the purchase of 10 FlexTix. The Holiday FlexTix promotion runs through December 31.
