Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City - The Utah Grizzlies, hoping to find a way to the playoffs after last night's loss to the Rampage, will have their work cut out for them when they meet San Antonio for the second game of the series tonight at the 'E' Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 pm (mst). The Grizzlies will also be giving away a Ford Focus tonight to one of 10 contestants whom have qualified throughout the regular season, courtesy of your "Heart of the West" Ford Stores.

Utah's season record against San Antonio fell to 1-5-1-1 on Friday while Rampage goaltender Travis Scott improved to 5-1-1 against the Grizzlies. Utah now needs six points to catch Cincinnati in the division standings with four games remaining for both teams. In the event that Utah does finish the season in a tie with Ducks, the Grizzlies would own the tiebreaker.

With Friday's win, the Rampage need seven points to catch Cincinnati. However, playoff hopes for both the Rampage and the Grizzlies will melt away should the Ducks manage to win more than one of their final four games. David Gove, who played for the Rampage last season, now has eight points (5-3*8) in his last six games after contributing an assist on Friday.

The Grizzlies will return to the 'E' Center Wednesday night facing the Milwaukee Admirals in the final home game of the season.
