Reich Recalled By Columbus

Syracuse, NY (April 3, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Jeremy Reich and have reassigned right wing Tim Jackman to Syracuse.

Reich, 25, has appeared in 67 games with Syracuse this season, recording 13 goals, 34 assists and 136 penalty minutes. In 260 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Reich has recorded 42 goals, 63 assists and 617 penalty minutes. His 617 penalty minutes are 32 short of tying John Badduke with 649 for first on the Crunch's all-time list. Reich made his NHL debut on January 21 vs. St. Louis, recording his first point (an assist). In eight games with Columbus, Reich tallied 1 assist and 20 penalty minutes. A native of Craik, Saskatchewan, Reich was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 17, 2000.

Jackman, 22, has appeared in 19 games with Columbus this season, recording 1 goal, 2 assists and 12 penalty minutes. This season Jackman has recorded 22 goals, 13 assists and 48 penalty minutes with Syracuse. In 135 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Jackman has tallied 31 goals, 20 assists and 96 penalty minutes. A native of Minot, North Dakota, Jackman was drafted by Columbus with their second choice, 38th overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft.
