Coyotes re-assign Stutzel to Falcons

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that rookie left wing Mike Stutzel has been re-assigned to the club by the Phoenix Coyotes, their National Hockey League affiliate. The Falcons also announced that goaltender Scott Dickie has been released from his professional tryout agreement.

Stutzel, 25, played his first nine NHL games after being recalled by the Coyotes on March 15th. He did not record any points or penalty minutes (PIM) with Phoenix. Stutzel has posted 24 points (12g, 12a) and 39 PIM in 59 games with Springfield this season. The 6'2", 205-pound forward ranks second on the club among rookies in scoring.

Dickie, 21, dressed as the back-up to starting netminder Jean-Marc Pelletier in the Falcons' contest versus the Providence Bruins last night, but did not see game action. The London, Ontario native has registered a record of 0-1-0 in four appearances with Springfield this season. Dickie, who is in his first professional campaign, has accumulated a 14-15-4 record, 3.39 goals against average, and .898 save percentage with the Adirondack IceHawks of the United Hockey League (UHL) this season.

The Falcons play the first of two weekend home games at the Springfield Civic Center tonight. The club hosts the Manchester Monarchs this evening in a 7:35 contest.
