Shooting The Puck

In their first two games versus Victoria, the Grizzlies have put 98 shots on the board. The Grizzlies had a season-high 50 shots Friday and countered with 48 on Saturday. Utah is currently fifth in the ECHL averaging 34.80 shots per game.

Even-Strength Hockey

Utah has outscored Victoria 8-0 five-on-five in the first two games of the series. Utah has now outscored the opposition 22-17 this year when each team has had five skaters on the ice.

Mole In Goal

Utah goaltender Mike Mole is currently 4-2 following this weekend's action versus Victoria. Mole went 1-1 with a 1.52 GAA and a .932 save percentage Friday and Saturday.

First Periods At Home

The Grizzlies have scored a first period goal in their first four home games this season. The Grizzlies have grabbed 1-0 first period leads in three of their four home games.

Haskins Is Hot

After spending the previous week on injured reserve, Tyler Haskins returned to the Grizzlies lineup this weekend and collected one goal and three assists in two games. The 21-year-old, who attended training camp with the Islanders, had one goal and two assists Friday versus Victoria in Utah's 7-1 win.

An Injured Captain

Utah captain Travis Rycroft has missed the Grizzlies last four games with a nagging injury. During his absence from the ice, the third-year Grizzlies forward has joined Head Coach Jason Christie and Assistant Coach Kevin Colley behind the Utah bench.

Don't I Know You From Somewhere

With three games against the Idaho Steelheads this week, the Grizzlies will have played six of their first 14 games versus their closest regional rival. Utah will then play the Steelheads only four times in their final 58 regular season games.

Affiliation Update

The New York Islanders are currently 9-4 on the season. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL carry a 5-6-1 record into Sunday's action.
