Inferno Drop to Everblades 7-2

ESTERO, F.L. (November 10, 2007) - The Columbia Inferno dropped to the Florida Everblades 7-2 in their final game of a seven day road trip.

Florida jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period with goals by Adam Bartholomay, Derek Damon (2) and Jonathan Lehun.

Jeff Miles scored his eighth goal of the season at 5:36 of the second period. Anthony Battaglia and Peter Tsimikalis had the assists. At 8:09, Owen Fussey nets the second and last goal for the Inferno with help from Marc Cavosie and Julien Brouillette.

Florida rounded out the scoring with the last three goals by J.D. Forest and two by Ernie Hartlieb.

Todd Ford started between the pipes for the Inferno but was pulled after he faced five shots, making two saves in 12 minutes. Jeff Jakaitis played the remainder of the game stopping 22 of 26 shots.

The Inferno returns home to face the Everblades for the third time in a row on Tuesday, November 13 at 7:05pm. Tickets are available by calling 251-2222 or visiting the Carolina Coliseum Box Office on Greene Street.
