The Situation The Grizzlies are currently 4-2-2-1 in their last nine games and open a busy four-game in five-night stretch at the E-Center starting Tuesday with Reading. The Grizzlies are currently in a stretch of six games over nine nights. Four of those games are against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
Gherson's Grizzlies Debut Assigned by the AHL's Chicago Wolves Thursday and making his Grizzlies debut Saturday in his first game action since December 13, Robert Gherson stopped 25 of 27 Las Vegas shots in regulation/overtime and three of four in the shootout as Utah defeated the Wranglers 3-2.
Mike Mole's Day Off With Gherson arriving on scene, Mike Mole took his first day off since October 24 Saturday. The fourth-year pro, who earned a call-up to the New York Islanders last season, had started the Grizzlies previous 27 games.
He's Kinasewich, He Scores Since returning to the Utah lineup fulltime December 12 after missing ten games injured, captain Ryan Kinasewich has two goals and seven assists in nine games.
Power-Play At Home The Grizzlies are 5-14 on the power-play over their last three games at home for a conversion rate of 35.7-percent.
Who Are These People? The Grizzlies will play their first-ever games against the Reading, Pennsylvania Royals Tuesday and Wednesday at the E-Center in just their second-ever match-up against an American Conference opponent. Utah took two of three from the Texas Wildcatters at the E-Center during the 2006-2007 season. The Royals are currently 9-23-0-2 on the year. They will play in Idaho Friday and Saturday
