The Week That Was...

The Stingrays had their third game in a row against the Mississippi Sea Wolves as they tried to ring in the new year with a victory. Bobby Goepfert stopped 23 of 25 shots and Travis Morin scored his 10th goal of the season, but the Stingrays fell 2-1.

Back in action on Friday, this time Gwinnett was in town. Goepfert stopped all 35 shots and the Stingrays shut-out the Gladiators 2-0 on Guaranteed Win Night. Bryson Busniuk and Pierre-Luc O'Brien recorded goals in the win.

On Saturday, the Rays traveled to Gwinnett. John Havrilack saw action in his first professional game after goaltender Michal Neuvirth went down with an injury and stopped all ten shots he faced, but it wasn't enough as the Gladiators pulled out the victory 2-1.

Sunday saw the Stingrays in action again against Mississippi at the North Charleston Coliseum. Ian Vigier returned to the line-up and stopped 31 shots and Travis Morin recorded four assists as the Rays won 4-1. The assists extended Morin's point streak to seven games.
