
Grizzlies Five-Game Home Stand Starts Tonight at the 'E'Center

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH * The Utah Grizzlies begin a big five-game home stand tonight against the Western Division leading Grand Rapids Griffins in the ?E? Center at 7:05 PM.
During tonight?s game, the Grizzlies will salute the University of Utah and their undefeated football team before they head out to face the University of Pittsburgh in the Fiesta Bowl on January 1, 2005. As a part of the evening, the Grizzlies will be giving three lucky fans a pair of tickets to the big game in Tempe, Arizona and Swoop (the Utes mascot) will drop the first puck of the game.
The Griffins currently are tied for the top spot in the Western Division with 35 points and a 17-7-1 record. They are the best road team in the American Hockey League winning 90 percent of their games, 9-1. Grand Rapids will be in town for games on Wednesday and Friday.
The other team occupying first place in the division is the Milwaukee Admirals and they will be in town for a pair of games beginning Saturday, December 18 and Monday, December 20. The Admirals are 4-0 versus the Grizzlies this year and are the defending Calder Cup champions. During Saturday?s game with the Admirals, the Grizzlies will be wearing special Ford Christmas jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game with proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society.
During Monday?s game, it will be Fat Albert Movie Family Night with the first 500 fans receiving a special Fat Albert Movie poster and there will be special screening passes for the movie given to several fans in attendance. Also, there is a special ticket promotion where four tickets will be available for $20.00.
The home stand will end on Wednesday, December 22 versus the San Antonio Rampage. It will be the final game for Utah heading into the Christmas Break and the final home game for the Grizzlies until January 21.
