Center Carl Mallette called up from ECHL Greenville

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks called up center Carl Mallette from the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL on Wednesday.
Mallette, 23, has scored a league-leading 15 goals and 31 points with 12 penalty minutes in 25 games with Greenville this season. The 6-foot-1, 194-pounder split his first professional season in 2003-04 between Florida and Roanoke in the ECHL, recording 28 goals and 43 assists with 60 penalty minutes in 73 games.
A native of Victoriaville, Quebec, Mallette was selected by Atlanta in the fourth round (107th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Mallette is expected to be available to make his AHL debut for Cincinnati tonight when the Ducks face the Chicago Wolves at 8:00 p.m. (EST) at Allstate Arena.
