Providence Bruins News Release
The Providence Bruins jumped out to a 3-2 lead after two periods on Wednesday in Hartford, and went on to a 3-2 victory over the Wolf Pack. The Bruins are now 14-10-2-3 (33 points), putting them in a tie for third place in the Atlantic Division standings with the Worcester IceCats.
Providence defenseman Kevin Dallman recorded his first career multiple-goal game, scoring his second and third of the season. Left wing Dan LaCouture tallied the game-winner on his third goal of the season.
Bruin goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 26 shots to improve his record to 11-9-1.
The Bruins return home to host the Springfield Falcons on Friday, December 17 at 7:05 p.m. The first 8,000 fans in attendance will receive a free holiday ornament, courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts.
Friday's game marks the conclusion of the Bruins' Toys for Tots drive. Bruins wives and girlfriends will collect unopened toys in the Dunkin' Donuts Center lobby before the game, to be donated to the U.S. Marine Reserve Corps' Toys for Tots program.
