Grizzlies Finish Preseason 1-0-1 with 2-0 Shutout of Idaho

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies shutout the Idaho Steelheads 2-0 Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena to finish the preseason 1-0-1.
Utah opens the regular season Friday against Idaho at Maverik Center at 7:05 p.m.
Tyler Hinds gave Utah a 1-0 lead just past the halfway point of the first period as he blasted a slapshot from the high slot through traffic and in.
Utah held the 1-0 lead until the final two minutes of the third period when Kris Hogg hammered in a rebound in transition off of a Brent Gwidt shot.
Grizzlies goaltender Ben Meisner stopped all 28 shots to earn the shutout.
A night after giving up three power-play goals on six penalties in Logan on Friday, Utah went a perfect on seven shorthanded situations.
