Idaho Steelheads News Release

Boise, ID (10/12/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Saturday that the Idaho Steelheads have received defenseman Patrick Cullity from St. John's of the American Hockey League and goaltender Josh Robinson has been recalled from Idaho to Texas of the AHL.

The 26-year-old Cullity split last season between Idaho and a pair of AHL teams. With Idaho, he skated in 39 games, collecting 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) along the way. He also appeared in nine playoff games for the Steelheads, adding two more goals and three more assists. The University of Vermont product is going into his fourth professional season, appearing in 130 games at the ECHL level and another 75 at the AHL level.

The AHL is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America.

Robinson's recall became necessary when the NHL's Dallas Stars recalled Jack Campbell from Texas due to an injury to starting goaltender Kari Lehtonen. Robinson will team in net with Christopher Nilstorp with Texas until Lehtonen returns. Robinson was selected as Idaho's team MVP last season.

Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

The Steelheads have added Doug Melvin as an emergency backup behind Pat Nagle for Saturday's pre-season game between the Idaho Steelheads and Utah Grizzlies at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.

The 17th season of professional hockey gets underway at CenturyLink Arena on October 23 when the Idaho Steelheads host the San Francisco Bulls. Season Ticket packages are available now, starting at just $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages are available as well for fans who want a little more flexibility. Contact the Idaho Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
