
Grizzlies Fall 4-3 In Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska Aces scored two third period shorthanded goals 45 seconds apart to defeat the Utah Grizzlies (21-20-6-9) 4-3 Sunday evening at the Sullivan Arena.
Utah never trailed until the final Alaska score with 6:17 left in the game and held three separate one-goal leads (1-0, 2-1, 3-2) in the contest.
Rob Hennigar scored two goals for Utah and Vladimir Nikiforov added two assists in the losing effort.
Will Bodine got the Utah scoring started with his third goal of the year 8:08 into the first period.
The Grizzlies again competed shorthanded with rookie all-star Tom May scratched with an injury. Forward James Brannigan missed his third-straight game.
Utah is next in action Wednesday in Bakersfield. Face-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
