$1 Tickets for High School/College Students this Wednesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, the hottest team in the ECHL, have just one home game this week, when they host the Utah Grizzles Wednesday night at the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Condors host the Utah Grizzles for High School and College ID Night, sponsored by 106.1 KRAB Radio. High school and college students receive $1 lower-level admission by presenting their student ID to the Rabobank Arena Box Office. Now college students don't have to choose between purchasing textbooks and Condors hockey, they can have both!
Intermission Fun: The Kern Trophies Player of the Month Award will be presented to a Condors player during the first intermission. Afterwards, a United States Army Swearing-In Ceremony will take place at center ice, as Bakersfield locals take their oaths of honor to protect their country.
Also during the first intermission on Wednesday, one lucky fan will compete on the ice in the California Pizza Kitchen Pizza Punchout, by taking five shots to knock down pizza boxes and win CPK gift cards.
During the second intermission, one toss can win you $300 in Chuck-a-puck! Then one lucky fan will be able to Shoot the Puck, Win the Truck, for the Condors one-of-a-kind 2008 Chevy Silverado, complete with Condors customizations on the interior and exterior, courtesy of 3-Way Chevrolet. If that contestant doesn't win, then one fan will be drawn at random to win the truck if a Condors player nets a hat trick (3 goals) all in the third period. On Sunday against Las Vegas, Mike Wirll netted two goals within the first 6 minutes of the third period, coming very close to providing one lucky fan with a new ride. Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location. The Rabobank Arena Box Office will be open Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours on game days.
