
Grizzlies Extend Unbeaten Streak To Five; Fall In Shootout

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (26-20-0-5) settled for one point in a 7-6 shootout loss to the Bakersfield Condors Thursday night at the E-Center. Keith Johnson recorded his second hat trick of the year in the game. Garett Bembridge had one goal and three assists.
Utah built a 3-0 lead (Johnson (22), Tyler Haskins (14) and Olivier Labelle (20) with three goals in the first 8:58 of the game but the Condors tied it at the first intermission with three-straight goals.
In the second period, Johnson scored his second of the game at 2:07 followed by Garett Bembridge (7) at 9:20 and Utah was up 5-3. The Bembridge goal came following a Mike Mole save that Sean Offers moved up the ice.
The Grizzlies made it 6-4 early in the third as Johnson (24) completed the hat trick. The Condors added two power-play goals in the final 7:19, including the game-tying score with 10 seconds left to force the overtime.
After a scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout where the Condors took their first lead of the game with the final score with three shootout goals to Utah's two.
Mike Mole stopped 32 of 37 in regulation to remain unbeaten in his last six games.
Utah returns home tomorrow and Saturday hosting Bakersfield with both games starting at 7:05 p.m.
