Utah Grizzlies News Release

The Situation

Utah enters the week looking to play a "spoiler" role in the ECHL's National Conference. Alaska, who Utah plays three times this week, currently leads Las Vegas by one point for the ECHL's best record and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The Grizzlies will look to pave the road for Las Vegas to take over the top seed with a strong finish to the season at the Sullivan Arena.

Last Team To Beat Alaska In Anchorage

Since a Grizzlies 6-4 win over Alaska on January 5, the Aces have not lost a home game in regulation, going 17-0-1 during that time.

Hottest Grizzlies Player Offensively

Danny Stewart has three goals and one assist in his last four games. Stewart became the first Grizzlies player in the ECHL to score on a penalty shot on Friday.

Shooting The Puck

Grizzlies defenseman Andy Sertich leads Utah with 31 shots on goal in his last six games.

Andy Sertich Update

Grizzlies rookie all-star Andy Sertich is second among ECHL rookies with 38 assists, first with 30 power-play points and 26 power-play assists. Since January 1, Sertich leads the Grizzlies in scoring with six goals and 30 assists in 39 games.

Injuries

The Grizzlies have lost over 250 man-games to injuries this season, including 20-straight by leading scorer Ryan Kinasewich who had 29 goals and 30 assists for 59 points in 44 games at the time of his injury on February 14. On a positive note, 21-year-old rookie Brandon Tidball returned to the Utah lineup after missing 59-straight games with an upper body injury on Friday versus Victoria.

This Week:
