
Checkers inaugural Dunk-a-Lawyer night this Saturday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that two lawyers and judge have volunteered to participate in the inaugural "Dunk-a-Lawyer" event being held at their game on Saturday, April 7 vs. the Columbia Inferno. The event is benefiting The Family Center.
Nikita "Nick" Mackey from the Law Offices of Mackey and Associates, PLLC; Daryl Hollnagel of Business Law Advisors; and District Court Judge Hugh B. Lewis will be alternating in the dunk tank. The dunk tank will be located in front of the 5th Street side of Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Dunk tank balls can be purchased for $2 each or three for $5 and all proceeds will benefit The Family Center.
The Family Center is dedicated to prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect through community services that foster hope and well-being for all children and families.
In addition, The Family Center is the region's leading provider of therapeutic, educational and preventative services to children and families. Serving the greater Charlotte area, the Family Center strengthens families, educates communities and prevents child abuse so that all children are valued, nurtured and kept safe.

The Checkers are playoff bound for the third-consecutive season and will wrap up the regular season this week. The Checkers are at Gwinnett Tuesday, home on Wednesday against Texas, at Cincinnati on Friday and at home Saturday for the season finale against Columbia.
