Las Vegas Plays Long Beach and Stockton in Final Week of Season

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a perfect 3-0-0 record last week, extending the team's winning streak to nine games and expanding the Pacific Division lead to four points. Tuesday night, Las Vegas edged Bakersfield 4-3 in a shootout at the Orleans Arena. Friday night, the Wranglers bested the Alaska Aces 2-1 in overtime. Saturday, Las Vegas completed the season-sweep (6-0-0) of Alaska with a 4-2 victory.

Las Vegas is now one point behind the ECHL leading Aces in the race for the Brabham Cup (regular season champion), with a game in hand. The Wranglers need three points to clinch the team's first ever Pacific Division title and eight points to clinch the Brabham Cup. The Wranglers wrap up their 2006-07 regular season this week with four games. Las Vegas will host Long Beach at 7:05 pm on Tuesday at the Orleans Arena. Wednesday night, the Wranglers play in Long Beach at 7:00 pm. Friday, April 6th and Saturday April 7th the Wranglers will host the Stockton Thunder at 7:05 pm. Friday night, the first 2,000 fans to the game receive a Wranglers' hat compliments of KB Home. Saturday, April 7th, Blue Man Group will perform the National Anthem and also perform during the first intermission. Before the game, from 4:30 - 6:30 in the concourse of the Orleans Arena, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party.

Bakersfield 3 at Las Vegas 4 SO

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers ® defeated the Bakersfield Condors 4-3 on Tuesday night in front of 4,004 fans at the Orleans Arena. Defenseman Aaron Power, as well as forwards Steve Crampton and Marco Peluso, each scored a goal for Las Vegas in the win. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna made 29 saves in regulation, stopped four of five shooters in the shootout and added an assist, while picking up the win.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Alaska Aces 2-1 in overtime on Friday night in front of 5,957 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' defenseman Aaron Power and winger Tyler Mosienko each scored for Las Vegas in the victory. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna made 30 saves to earn his 23rd victory of the season. Winger Joe Talbot scored the lone goal for the Aces in regulation.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Alaska Aces 4-2 on Saturday night in front of 7,126 fans at the Orleans Arena. For the second straight night, center Tyler Mosienko scored the game-winning goal, leading the Wranglers to their ninth straight victory. Center Derek Edwardson scored twice and Joe Tallari added the final goal as Las Vegas won their fifth straight home game. Goalie Mike McKenna improved to 24-4-7 with 22 saves for his fifth straight win.

Long Beach Ice Dogs - (25-40-3, 53 points, 5th Place, Pacific)

Forward Ash Goldie leads Long Beach in scoring this season with 34 goals and 33 assists for 67 points in 63 games played. Goldie is second in the ECHL with 291 shots on goal this season. Defenseman Jeff Mason is the team's leading scorer from the blueline with 11 goals and 26 assists for 37 points. Long Beach is 3-7-0 in their last ten games played. The Ice Dogs have a record of 8-17-2 in games within the division this season.

Stockton Thunder - (37-22-10, 84 points, 3rd Place, Pacific)

The Stockton Thunder are riding a ten-game winning streak and are 13-1-0 in their last 14 games played. Center Nathan Martz leads the Thunder in scoring with nine goals and 55 assists for 64 points this season. Forward Brock Radunske has given the Thunder a boost since joining the team. In 16 games this season, Radunske has 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points, including 23 points in his last ten games. Forwards Mathieu Melanson and Colin Pepperall have also been big contributors. Pepperall has nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 13 games played, while Melanson has 14 goals and 11 assists in 16 games. Thunder forward Adam Huxley leads the ECHL in major penalties with 23.
