
Grizzlies' Christie To Conduct Two Hockey Clinics

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie will conduct two hockey clinics over the next week as part of the Grizzlies partnership with the Utah Winter Games.
The first clinic will take place Sunday, March 11 at the Park City Ice Arena. The cost is $8 with all money going to the Utah Winter Games. Participants are asked to please bring their own hockey equipment; skates will be available to rent. Ages 9 and under will be on the ice from 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.; with ages 10 and up starting at 2:00 p.m. Christie will be joined in Park City by forwards Travis Rycroft and Joel Irving along with defenseman Ian Forbes.
The second clinic will take place Monday, March 12 at the E-Center. Participants will once again need to bring their own equipment. Ages 9 and under will go from 7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Ages 10 and up will go from 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The E-Center clinic will also include a tour of the Grizzlies locker room and a question and answer session with Christie. Players D.J. Jelitto, Brandon Tidball and Matt Craig will be assisting with this clinic.
Cost for both clinics is $8 per person with all money going to the Utah Winter Games. Participants are required to pre-register by calling (435) 513-2354 or emailing Courtney@utahwintergames.org.
The Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, are in their second season in America's "Premier AA Hockey League." There were 23 former Utah Grizzlies players on NHL rosters at the start of the 2006-2007 season. The Grizzlies are owned and operated by the Elmore Sports Group and play at the E-Center of West Valley City, which hosted hockey during the 2002 Winter Olympics.
