Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Tuesday released forwards Rustyn Dolyny, Jeff Nelson and Tyler Rennette and assigned defenseman Paul Ballantyne and goaltender Drew MacIntyre to Toledo of the ECHL.
Twenty-one players remain on the Griffins' roster as they prepare for their season-opening game against the Chicago Wolves on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Allstate Arena. After a second road contest in Cleveland on Oct. 17, the Griffins open their home schedule against the defending Calder Cup champion Houston Aeros on Saturday, Oct. 18.
