B-Sens Roster Takes Shape

BINGHAMTON, New York – The 2002-03 East Division champion Binghamton Senators, top developmental affiliate of the Ottawa Senators – NHL, today received nine players from its NHL affiliate: goaltender Ray Emery, defenseman Julien Vauclair and forwards Dennis Bonvie, Daniel Corso, Alexandre Giroux, Denis Hamel, Chris Kelly, Josh Langfeld and Serge Payer (pigh-YAY).

Emery appeared in 50 games last year in his rookie season, posting a record of 27-17-6 with a 2.42 goals against average. Emery was selected to play in the 2003 AHL All-Star Classic and was credited with the win for Team Canada.

Giroux (19+16=35), Langfeld (14+21=35), and Kelly (17+14=31) are the top three returning scorers from last year's club.

Binghamton opens the regular season on Friday, October 10th, in Philadelphia (7:05 p.m.). The Sens' home opener is the following evening, October 11th, at the Arena against the Rochester Americans (7:05 p.m.). All fans in attendance on October 11th will witness the unveiling of the East Division Championship banner and receive a miniature replica division championship banner courtesy of the Sens and the Binghamton Senators Booster Club.

Tickets for the October 11th home opener, as well as all regular season games, are now on sale at the Sens' Executive Office – 3rd Floor of the Arena, the Center Ice Team Shop at Metrocenter, the Arena box office, and at all Ticketmaster outlets. 2003-04 season tickets are available only at the Senators' Executive Office – 3rd Floor of the Arena, open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
