
Balan Assigned to ECHL, Germyn Inked to ATO

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â The Norfolk Admirals announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Scott Balan to its ECHL affiliate, the Florence Pride. Additionally, the Admirals have inked forward Carsen Germyn to an Amateur Tryout (ATO). The Admirals' roster continues to stand at 22 players.
Norfolk opens the AHL's 2003-04 campaign in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (Pittsburgh Penguins) tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m. The Blue and Gold will face the Baby Pens again on Saturday, October 11 at 7:05 p.m. before traveling to the Philadelphia Phantoms' (Philadelphia Flyers) home ice for a 5:05 p.m. match up on Sunday, October 12. Norfolk's road trip wraps up with a 4:00 p.m. contest in Albany (New Jersey) on Monday, October 13.
The Admirals' first home games of the year takes place on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18, with the River Rats (Devils) the scheduled opposition for both contests. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
Individual tickets for all of Norfolk's 40 home games of the 2003-04 schedule are on sale now through Scope's Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 an online at www.ticketmaster.com.
2003-04 season tickets as well as 10- and 20-game plans are now on sale.
