(GREENVILLE, S.C.) Jantzen Witte's two-run homer gave Greenville the lead in the fourth inning, and the Drive never trailed on their way to a 7-3 win over the Lexington Legends Monday night.

The game was scoreless until the fourth when Forrestt Allday led off with a double. Tzu-Wei Lin popped out to third, but Witte followed with his sixth home run of the year. The two runs batted in by Witte tied him with Wilmer Difo of Hagerstown for the South Atlantic League lead with 46.

The Legends came back with a run in the fifth on a two-out double by Dex Kjerstad and a single by Samir Duenez, but the Drive answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth. Jake Romanski reached first on an error by shortstop Ramon Torres, moved to second as Kendrick Perkins grounded out, and scored on a single by Aneudis Peralta.

Greenville scored two more runs in the sixth. Witte drew a leadoff walk and moved to second on Wendell Rijo's one-out single. After Alex Black relieved starter Matt Tenuta for Lexington, Romanski doubled to left field, scoring Witte. Rijo came home on an error by left fielder Fred Ford, giving the Drive a 5-1 lead.

In the Greenville seventh, Peralta doubled to left and continued to third on a throwing error by Ford. Allday's double scored Peralta, and the Drive led 6-1.

The Legends rallied in the eighth. A double by Duenez, a triple by Escalera and a single by Torres produced two runs.

Greenville's final run came on Perkins' solo homer in the bottom of the eighth.

Drive starter Joe Gunkel (2-0) worked the first six innings and got the win. He struck out seven batters and walked none. Jonathan Aro pitched the final three innings to get his fifth save.
