ESTERO, FL - The Greenville Road Warriors begin the Kelly Cup Playoffs tonight by visiting the Florida Everblades for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

The Road Warriors (88 pts., 4th place Eastern Conference) visit Florida (85 pts., 5th place Eastern Conference) today for the first game of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville was 7-3-1 against Florida during the regular season and had a 4-1-0 mark at Germain Arena. The teams have not met since January 28, 2012 in the finale of a three-game series at Germain Arena. That night Justin Bowers led the way with two goals and an assist in the Road Warriors' 3-2 triumph. The series could turn into an offensive shootout as the Everblades boast the league's second best offense from the regular season (260 goals) while the Road Warriors ranked sixth (232).

Brandon Wong (6G, 7A) and Justin Bowers (4G, 9A) led the Road Warriors with 13 points against Florida during the regular season. Scott Pitt (5G, 5A) paced Florida against Greenville with 10.Nic Riopel was 4-1-0 against Florida during the 2011-12 season and holds an 11-2-2 record against the 'Blades in his career. He is 6-1-1 all-time at Germain Arena.Greenville's offense was been limited to two goals in four of its final five games of the season. Greenville was a combined 1-for-12 on the power play in those games. Marc-Olivier Vallerand recorded a point in four of five games (3G, 2A) and was +2 after returning from AHL Rockford. The Road Warriors have four rookies on the roster making their professional playoff debuts. That is almost three times less than the 11 rookies that made their playoff debuts last season.

Get ready for the Road Warriors' run to the Kelly Cup! Greenville's first home game of the opening round is Friday, April 6 at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center against Florida. The first 1,500 fans through the door will get a rally towel compliments of Deaville Roofing and Construction, GEICO, and Konica Minolta. The BI-LO Family Fun Section will also be open for the game. Starting two hours before faceoff fans can bring their BI-LO BONUSCARD to the ticket office window and receive up to four free tickets while supplies last.
