Greenville Grrrowl News Release
GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Grrrowl, proud affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, announced Monday the promotion of Charlie Dallas to Head Equipment Manager, and the hiring of Michael Bays and Rachel Trosper as Account Executives.
Dallas has assisted Greenville equipment managers since the 1999-2000 season. With his promotion, he becomes the third equipment manager in Greenville's history. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Dallas spent 44 years working for Edgcomb Steel Company in Philadelphia and in Greenville. Upon retiring, Dallas latched on with the Grrrowl, where he began as a helper and head towel washer. He was eventually promoted to assistant equipment manager, a position he held for five years. Dallas will now fulfil the traditional role of Head Equipment Manager for the Grrrowl.
Bays returns to the Grrrowl as a Senior Account Executive, having worked for the team on a part-time basis from 1998 until 2003. He is a Clemson University graduate, receiving a BS in Management in 1997 and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development in 1999. Performing as the Tiger mascot for 3 years at Clemson, Michael holds the career football push-up record for the "Tiger" as well as being ranked 3rd in the nation in the 1996 UCA National Mascot Championships. Over the past year and a half, Michael served as a Financial Specialist with Wachovia Bank in Greenville. He will work in the ticket sales department, and will be involved in all aspects of game day operations and promotional events.
Trosper will serve as an Account Executive in the Grrrowl ticket sales department. She graduated from Mississippi State University in December of 2004 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Management and a minor in Broadcasting. She most recently worked for the Mississippi Braves of the Southern League in Pearl, MS as the Assistant Ticket Office Manager. Before that, Trosper spent two years as a ticket agent for the Mississippi State University Athletic Ticket Office while earning her degree. During the summer of 2004, she served as a promotions intern for 104.7 "The Fish" in Atlanta, GA. Trosper is originally from Louisville, MS.
