Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have signed forward Jeff Campbell for the 2005-06 season.

A rookie last season, Campbell ranked 2nd on the Gladiators and 4th among ECHL rookies in points with 63. He shared first on the team with 30 goals, good for 4th among ECHL rookies in that category.

"He's one of the best all around players I've ever had," said Gladiators head coach Jeff Pyle. "Jeff (Campbell) is very versatile and can play any position. He's going to Manitoba's training camp and I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck at the AHL level."

Selected to represent the Gladiators in the 2005 ECHL All Star Game in Reading, PA., the Hensall, Ontario native recorded an assist for the American Conference in a 6-2 loss in the contest.

Campbell posted 65 goals in 149 games over 4 collegiate seasons at Western Michigan University. He finished his collegiate career with 80 assists and totaled 145 points.
