Greensboro Swarm Fall to Westchester Knicks

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, came up short against the Westchester Knicks, 110-99, at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday. Six players scored double digits for Greensboro, led by Dwayne Bacon (17 points) who was on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets.

Other double-digit scorers for the Swarm were Devonte Graham (17 points), JP Macura (17), Jaylen Barford (15), Chinanu Onuaku (12) and Roscoe Smith (10). Graham was also on assignment from the Hornets.

Billy Garrett led all players with 25 points for Westchester. Isaiah Hicks added 24 points and 11 rebounds to earn a double-double for the Knicks. Kenrich Williams was productive off the bench, adding 11 points and 15 rebounds. Treveon Bluiett had 15 points as reserve as well.

At the break, the Swarm led 54-48. Barford impressed with 13 points in the half. For Westchester, Hicks notched 10 points and six rebounds.

Graham put up eight points in the third quarter while Smith added two three-pointers for Greensboro. In crunch time in the fourth, the Knicks were fueled by Garrett and a 10-0 run to regain the lead. Bacon got the Swarm within five with four minutes left, but the Knicks responded with another run to seal the win.

Up next, The Swarm travel to Pennsylvania for a matchup with the Erie BayHawks on Tuesday.
