Augusta, GA - In light of recent taser-related events in Philadelphia, the Augusta GreenJackets announce that the first 5,000 fans at tonight's Thirsty Thursday game against the Greenville Drive will be safe from all taser-induced harm should they become unruly.

In addition, all fans who walk up to GreenJackets staffers and say the phrase "Don't Tase Me, Bro!" will receive dollar soft drinks or domestic beers all night long. That phrase was uttered by a University of Florida student who received a taser-induced blow while protesting an on-campus address from U.S. Senator and former presidential hopeful John Kerry.

Recently at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, a young fan that ran onto the field during a Phillies game was taken down by a taser gun before he was removed from the playing surface.

Taser guns have been used by law enforcement officials since the late-1970's to control would-be criminals in the act of breaking the law. Stadium security guards around the country have used tasers more and more in recent years to control fans that run onto playing surfaces in multiple sports.

Tonight's game concludes a four-game series between the GreenJackets and Drive and will begin at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6 p.m. Fans can purchase seats to tonight's game and every home game by calling 706-922-WINS or online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
