Grasshoppers Defeat the Hot Rods, 11-2 on Friday Evening

BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 11-2 on Friday, September 8. The Grasshoppers improved to 31-32 in the second half of the season while the Hot Rods fell to 37-26. Greensboro outhit Bowling Green 13-9 as the Grasshoppers had one mishap.

Leading at the dish for the Grasshoppers was infielder Jack Brannigan as he went 3-5 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored. Following close behind was outfielder Luke Brown as he went 3-4 with one RBI and one run scored.

Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Brad Case as he tallied one strikeout and gave up three hits and four free bases on three innings of work. Yunior Thibo recorded the win for the Grasshoppers and improved to 4-1 on the season while Jaycob Deese recorded his first hold.

Austin Vernon took the loss for the Hot Rods and fell to 7-4 on the season.
