Gorillas Seek First Win
October 27, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Laredo, TX - The Amarillo Gorillas will face the unbeaten Laredo Bucks tonight, still seeking their first win of the 2007-08 season. Laredo is coming off wins against the Gorillas and Corpus Christi Rayz of 6-0 and 7-0 respectively.
Last night, the Gorillas failed to get their first win against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, despite out-shooting the Bees 48-29. It was also the first time all year that the Gorillas had a full roster, dressing 18 skaters with the addition of Defensemen Chad Grisdale and Shaun Arvai, as well as forward Grant Selinger. Dan McWhinney made his third start in net this season, turning aside 26 shots in the losing effort.
This evening's game against the Laredo Bucks will be broadcast on The Energy 99.7 FM once again, instead of the usual home for the Gorillas on 1010 AM They Canyon. The change is a result of scheduling conflicts with football.
Game: Laredo Bucks vs. Amarillo Gorillas; Laredo Entertainment Center; 7:30 PM
Radio: The Energy 99.7 FM
