Goodson Placed on Disabled List

Portland, Maine- Portland Sea Dogs' right-handed pitcher Matt Goodson has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to May 13th. Goodson is sidelined with right calf soreness.

Goodson has made six starts for the Sea Dogs this season going 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA. In 2007, Goodson posted a 5-6 record in time split betwen Single-A Lancaster and Double-A Portland. The 25 year-old was drafted by the Red Sox in the 23rd round of the June 2004 draft.

The Sea Dogs continue their road trip tonight with a 6:35 PM game against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins) at New Britain. The Sea Dogs return home on Friday, May 23rd at 6:00 PM.
