Akron RubberDucks News Release

The Aeros made a roster move today, transferring IF Chris de la Cruz to Class A Kinston and activating OF Trevor Crowe from the disabled list.

De la Cruz was hitting .140 and had appeared in just 12 of Akron's first 37 games. An All-Star with Kinston in 2005, the native of Monte Plata, DR has spent parts of the last three season with the K-Tribe. Last year he batted .318 with a home run and 26 RBI in 63 games for Kinston.

Crowe has been sidelined since April 6th with a strained back, and has missed a total of 35 games. He appeared in the first two games of the year for Akron, batting .143 (1-7) and drawing three walks in the opening series at Binghamton. Crowe was Cleveland's first round pick (14th overall) in 2005 after an All-American career at the University of Arizona. He spent all of the last season with Akron, batting .259 with five home runs and 50 RBI in a team-high 133 games.

The Aeros continue their road trip tonight with a 7:05 p.m. tilt against the Reading Phillies. The game broadcast begins at 6:50 p.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com.
