For the second consecutive ball game the Edmonton Cracker-Cat pitching staff failed to hold a five run lead as the Winnipeg Goldeyes erased a five run deficit enroute to 6-5 come from behind win at TELUS Field Sunday afternoon.

The Cracker-Cats used four pitchers in the 9th inning and they collectively surrendered four earned runs on five hits. The loss spoiled a solid 7 1/3 inning performance by starter Ira Brown who allowed one run while scattering three hits and striking out four batters.

Former Kansas City Royal Shawn Sedlacek allowed five runs on nine hits over eight innings to pick up his first win against two losses. Hard throwing right-hander Darwin Soto struck out the side in the 9th inning to record his fourth save.

Edmonton right fielder Kyle Leon continued to swing a hot bat as he went four-for-five with a run scored and three RBI in the losing cause. The 8-14 Goldeyes move on to Calgary for a three game series while the 10-12 Cracker-Cats host Sioux City on Monday night.
