
Kaiser\'s Just the Medicine Modesto Needs in 10-4 Win Over Storm

Marc Kaiser was his typical self on a bright and sunny Sunday afternoon and pitched the Nuts to a 10-4 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm to help Modesto take the series two games to one. Kaiser, who is known for pitching a quick game, improved his record to 5-1 in a swift two hours and 25 minute effort. Kaiser, went seven strong innings, striking out seven and walking only one batter.
The hitting attack was led by CF Jordan Czarniecki who hit two home runs, his third and fourth for the year. Shortstop Matt Macri was on base four times and scored two runs, as well as DH Christian Colonel who had three hits and scored three runs and catcher Rick Guarno, who made a rare start and collected two hits and two RBIs.
The Nuts are off until Tuesday and will travel to Rancho Cucamonga to take on the Quakes. Steven Register takes the mound for Modesto against Bill Edwards for Rancho Cucamonga. Game time at the Epicenter is 7:15 p.m.
