
Golden Eagles Honored when Grizzlies Host Wolves

The Grizzlies (19-43-1-4) and the Chicago Wolves (42-20-5-2) will meet tonight in the first of back-to-back games. Tonight also will be a salute to the Salt Lake Golden Eagles as the Grizzlies will be wearing special Golden Eagles jerseys and many familiar faces from the past will be on hand including Art Teece who will be a part of the opening puck drop.
Chicago has won six of the previous seven games and are 2-1 in Utah. The Grizzlies are coming off a 1-2 road trip that saw them play solid hockey. Aaron Gavey and Fredrik Sjostrom each had a goal and two assists on the trip and David Cornacchia recorded three assists. Jamie Storr earned the Grizzlies victory and is 2-0 with a 0.92 GAA in his last two starts. Chicago is currently one point up on Milwaukee for first place in the Western Division. The Wolves have won five straight road games and are 17-13-1-1 away from home. J.P. Vigier leads the Wolves with 65 points (26-39 -65).
Tonight's Storylines:
· Aaron Gavey and Erik Westrum each have a goal and two helpers in their last two games
· Utah is 1-5-1 versus the Wolves this season being outscored 29-16 including 14-5 in the first period
· Utah is 9-0 when scoring 4+ goals in a game
· David Cornacchia had a team season-high three assists on Sunday while playing in his 200th professional game
· Terry Virtue is just four games shy of 1000 professional games
· Current Wolves Greg Hawgood and Tim Wedderburn each have played for the Grizzlies in the past
Next Game: The Grizzlies will host Chicago again tomorrow with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM.
