
Bergeron, Bruins skate to key win

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Worcester IceCats played the seventh game of their 10-game season series on Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, with the Bruins coming away with a critical 4-1 victory. The win pulled the Bruins (33-26-3-7; 76 points) even in the Atlantic Division standings with Worcester. The clubs are tied for fourth place in the tightly-contested division.
Bruin forwards Patrice Bergeron (20) and Jay Henderson (6) each tallied a goal and an assist, while center Ben Guite had two assists. Left wing Andy Hilbert notched his 33rd goal of the season, and fellow winger Tomas Kurka potted the game-winner on his fourth goal of the season
Providence goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 28 shots in his second game since returning from injury. Toivonen is 22-15-3 on the season.
The Bruins play their next four games on the road, beginning on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m., when they face off with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Bruins return home to host the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday, April 3 at 4:05 p.m.
