
Goaltender Michaud Wins Another League Award

On Wednesday, the East Coast Hockey League named Rivermen goaltender Alfie Michaud the Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month for January. Michaud was recognized as the ECHL Goalie of the Week last week as well.
The 26-year-old Michaud was 7-0-1 with one shutout, a 1.85 goals against average and a .940 save percentage during the month of January. In his fourth professional season, Michaud is 11-1-2 in 14 games with the Rivermen this year.
On Tuesday, Michaud was called-up by Grand Rapids of the AHL. Michaud is the second Rivermen goaltender to win this award this season. Mathieu Chouinard won it in December.
